Thakoon for Target 2008

If you missed out on the chance to buy a fabulous dress from one of Target’s GO International collections, you are going to get a second take next year! The retailer recently announced that it will feature a line of 34 pieces from previous guest designers, including Zac Posen, Tucker, Luella Bartley, Tara Jarmon, Paul & Joe, Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler, Libertine, Alice Temperley, Jovovich-Hawk, Rogan, Richard Chai, Erin Fetherston, Jonathan Saunders, Thakoon, Tracy Feith and Rodarte. The exclusive collection is a celebration of the fifth anniversary of Target offering affordable luxury, and will be available in Target stores and at Target.com on March 13 through April 13, 2011.

I can’t wait to see what fab designers Proenza Schouler and Libertine come up with, as I missed them a few years ago when they debuted their clothing lines at Target. Also, I am looking forward to checking out the selections from my favorite collaborators, Alice Temperley, Richard Chai and Thakoon. What designer are you looking forward to? Film director Gia Coppola, who is the niece of acclaimed director Sofia Coppola, worked with designer Zac Posen to illustrate his latest fashion project. Coppola’s short video features girl indie band The Like preparing for a stage performance. As they primp and polish for their show, the girls wear brocade dresses, tuxedo pants, raincoats and more from the exciting collaboration. Posen will launch the capsule collection for Target on April 25. Only two weeks to go! Enjoy the fun video below!

Shopping after the holidays was fun, especially because some of the amazing deals at some of my favorite stores!

Now I am looking ahead to the freshness of spring. The exciting images from the Zac Posen for Target collaboration made my day and my week! Some of the pieces include print dresses, dress slacks, swimwear and a gown. I am eyeing the cute lipstick tee and the black  pants. I also really like that the dresses closely resemble the designs that Posen has created before. The exclusive line will debut on April 25, and will be available at Target.com and at selected stores. This is a GO International collection that I have been dreaming about!
