If you haven’t seen Lauren Conrad’s exclusive collection with Kohl’s stores, make a visit to a store this weekend. The star from the Hills has designed a line of tops, jeans and cardigans that are cute and fun, and can be paired with almost everything that is already in your closet. My favorite is the boyfriend cardigan, which I have worn with several different tops I had from previous seasons. I would also wear it with a tissue soft tee and leggings or skinny jeans I love the ease of the longer length and the deep pockets. The entire stock of LC Lauren Conrad is now 30% off from the original price, so I’d hurry before the selection disappears!

BDG Striped Cardigan

Another cozy piece that we love is a black and white cardigan from BDG at Urban Outftitters. The cut is long and made of stretchy knit material, so it’s very comfortable with jeans or a skirt. I logged many hours of searching for the perfect black and white cardigan. After trying on styles that were either too short or too long, I finally found the right fit, and I couldn’t be happier! You can’t have too many boyfriend cardigans, right? The cardigan (shown above in navy/stripe) retails for $38, and is an item that you will want to wear over and over again!

Jewels From Bing Bang Collection (not from Target line)

Acclaimed Jewelry designer Anna Sheffield will bring her lovely designs to Target. Sheffield will be the fifth guest designer to create an exclusive jewelry collection for the mass retailer. The line will debut on August 30 at Target stores and Target.

In San Francisco just seven years ago, the designer founded her company Bing Bang, a unique collection of high-end jewelry. When she moved her collection to New York City, she chose a workspace in a Brooklyn gallery to create a collective for artists to work and socialize together. The showroom owner took an interest in her craft, and placed her designs in the prestigious fashion showroom The News. Her designs of layered chains and heirlooms made from contrasting mixed metals became popular, and soon she had orders from luxury retailers, such as Barney’s New York. Her fan base has grown to include fashion forward actresses, including Cameron Diaz, Julianne Moore and Jessica Szohr.

As a trend-setter, Sheffield finds her inspiration from the urban scene, and her keen eye for New York City’s fashion and culture has kept her in demand for creative projects. Her collaboration with Target is one of several collections she has exclusively designed for retailers. Last year she teamed up with Urban Outfitters with Bee 23 by Bing Bang. After seeing the lovely chain necklace from Gemma Redux recently worn by Jessica Alba at a pre-party for the BET Awards, I knew I had to have it.  The unique blend of gold-plated, silver-plated and stainless steel strands is the perfect statement necklace, but unfortunately it’s price of $369 is out of my price range. So I looked for a more budget-friendly version of this jaw-dropping necklace. I am always on the lookout for money saving ideas, and lucky for me I found a couple of alternatives that capture the chic look of the chain necklace.

I believe that live music sounds best outside. However, dealing with the possible weather elements is not always fun. Kate Bosworth in London

Spring layering is a great way to dress for those days that are not quite warm enough for tank tops. Around where I reside the air is still cool, hence the need to dress accordingly. I was inspired this week by the fabulous Kate Bosworth’s knack for piling on her stylish layers. I am impressed how she dressed her navy jacquard skirt down with a gray tee, a denim vest, a lovely pair of ankle boots. Her skirt is from Silence & Noise, which is available now at Urban Outfitters. The short skirt is versatile enough to be dressed up with a pretty blouse or sleeveless top on a warmer day.
