 Director of Sonia Rykiel, Nathalie Rykiel shows a back-stage view of the upcoming collection for Sonia Rykiel Pour H&M. The line features lovely knit sweaters with stripes, bows and ruffles to wear to the office, or you can show off your sexy shoulders with a wide-neck sweater dress, perfect for a hot date night. For a more casual look, you can pair the tops or sweaters with the cute leggings or the shorts.

If you weren’t able to pick up any items from the lingerie collection last month, definitely check out the new knit pieces and accessories to update your wardrobe for wallet-friendly prices. The pullover sweaters start at $29.95. The knitwear collection will be available in about 250 H&M stores, debuting on February 20. Paris Fashion Week began a couple of days ago, so the exciting news about a certain French designer couldn’t happen at a better time. H&M has signed Sonia Rykiel to be their next guest collaborator. Known as France’s “Queen of Knits,” the Parisian artist works with her daughter, Nathalie Rykiel, President and Artistic Director, to create lovely looks for women. The Sonia Rykiel collection for H&M will include lingerie and related accessories for winter 2009. The exclusive line will launch on December 5, just in time for the holiday season. The collection will  be available in 1,500 H&M stores worldwide. I know where I will be shopping this Christmas!

Even more amazing news is that a knitwear collection from Rykiel will be available in February 2010. The second line made for women and girls will also include playful accessories. “It is a hallmark of Sonia Rykiel to think of all women because fashion is about a certain spirit more than a question of means. This collaboration fits perfectly with our philosophy,” said Nathalie Rykiel.
