Style for Good Luck to Chicago

Winning Look from Maria Pinto
As the final stages for the next host of the Olympics are being completed, fashion has gotten into the game for Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Summer Games.
Designer Maria Pinto has created lovely looks for the delegates while they showcase their final presentations to the International Olympic Committee this week in Copenhagen. Pinto’s designs have been worn by other fashionistas, including the beautiful First Lady Michelle Obama. For the representatives, the Chicago-based designer wanted to create a capsule collection “where the women would be able to personalize their look to match their individual styles.” Pinto produced a mix-and-match line of essentials, including a slim jacket, pants, blouse and a dress. Known for her focus on attention to detail, she handcrafted her line with wool, cotton and silk charmeuse. Here’s hoping for the Windy City!
Michelle Obama in a Merona Dress from Target
First Lady Michelle Obama looked effortlessly chic in a Merona for Target dress, which was perfect for her family weekend in Arizona on Saturday, August 16th. The fashion icon continues to shine as seen in her everyday looks, which are stylish and affordable. I love that Obama is fan of budget-friendly brands too!
Michelle Obama Brings Style to Rome

- First Lady Michelle Obama in Italy
Recently, the First Lady Michelle Obama joined the spouses of members of the G8 Summit for a tour of the earthquake damage in the medieval city of L’Aquila in Italy. Wearing a sunny yellow J. Crew skirt, a floral print cardigan from Liz Claiborne and a pretty Moschino brooch, Mrs. Obama looked lovely at the Palazzo del Governo of L’Aquila. Obama was in Italy along with her daughters, Sasha and Malia for her husband’s appearance at the G8 Summit.
It is so refreshing that Obama stays true to her favorite American designers, and chooses looks from brands, such as Liz Claiborne, that are affordable to all fashionistas.
