McQ Alexander McQueen For Target Available
The wait is finally over!
I wanted to run to my nearest Target store to try on some of the fab pieces from the McQ Alexander McQueen for Target collection, but unfortunately the exclusive line will not be available in my area. I contacted several Target stores this morning, and there is only one store in my state that will have the merchandise available for purchase. Since the store is a couple of hours away from me, I browsed the selection at Target, and the line is available now. I love some of the looks that the British designer created. One of my favorites is the menswear-inpsired black blazer and black cropped pants, which are very popular right now. I chose both because they are wonderful staples for a work or casual wardrobe. I also really admired the silk printed scarves, which will accessorize almost any outfit in shades of blue or pink. I will have to wait until my shipment arrives to see how my choices look in person. It looks to me the best designer collection that Target has done so far. Check out this limited-edition before it is all gone!
McQ is almost here
I can’t believe that it is almost March, and that means that the highly-anticipated Alexander McQueen collection for Target is almost available! I was surprised when I learned that McQ for Target will be sold at about 250 stores nationwide. So I would suggest to call ahead at your local Target store and find out if they are getting the McQ line on March 4th. Otherwise, McQ for Target will be available to buy at Target. Just counting the days!
New Looks From McQueen for Target

Recent images of the highly-anticipated lookbook for the McQ Alexander McQueen collection for Target, created an excitement across the blogosphere and among all fashion savvy shoppers. As the first designer to participate in the retailer’s Designer Collaborations project, the McQ collection is fun and resembles his signature look of roll n’ roll chic, think Love is a Battlefield from Pat Benatar. The line includes skinny jeans, lightweight sweaters, slim skirts, and bubble dresses. There will also be a selection of swimwear and cotton print scarves. The collection has a muted color palette of tan, gray, black and white with accents of cobalt blue. Some of the details, such as studs and mesh, give the pieces an edge and will look very chic with ankle boots or flats. There are graphic prints and silk-screen photographs which give T-shirts and tunics visual interest. An example is the Leila silk-screen T-shirt (shown above) with a necklace collar which was designed for The Duke Spirit lead singer. Other band members are immortalized on a sleeveless jersey T-shirt.
I attached some of the pictures from the lookbook. My favorite look is the feminine blue top hat McQueen paired with a studded leather belt and a cute black vest. There are different ways to mix the looks up from the line, so have fun with it and create your own look! The collection will be available at Target stores and Target.com in March. I can’t wait!
