Fashion’s Night Out Official Collection at Shopbop

I can’t believe that the fabulous Fashion’s Night Out is only three weeks away!  For the third year in a row, VOGUE Magazine, New York City Mayor Bloomberg, NYC & Company and the CFDA will team up to bring Fashion’s Night Out, a celebration of fashion and shopping on September 8.

Today I saw the first official look of the 2011 FNO Collection on Get your FNO collectible tee or tote now at the Fashion’s Night Out Boutique on The collection includes printed jersey tees, which are available in white, green/purple or orange/pink, as well as canvas totes in grey, navy or natural with double handles in fun colors. FNO will donate 40 percent of the proceeds to the New York City AIDS Fund.

Gaultier Inspired by American Women

The Jean Paul Gaultier for Target line will be unveiled to all Target shoppers and fashion lovers on March 7. The new ad campaign recently appeared in the March issue of Vogue, highlighting the playfulness of the cropped leather jacket and other spring essentials. While the exclusive collection will be available in only selected stores, you can find the entire selection on in just two weeks.

Gaultier, who is the third guest in the Designer Collaborations series, was inspired by the iconic styles of the American woman. The French designer celebrated how the history of fashion influences American pop culture, from Hollywood glamour to punk rock. Items such as the graphic print mesh leggings with motorcycle jackets capture a rock ‘n roll vibe. While the lightweight dresses, mini skirts and gingham tops embody romantic styles. I can hardly wait to see some of these pieces! Will you be checking out  the Jean Paul Gaultier collection?

Fashion’s Night Out 2009

Fashion night outFashion’s Night Out is a global event to celebrate fashion, entice consumers’ enthusiasm and revive the struggling retail industry. The international editions of VOGUE Magazine are partnering with designers, department stores and boutiques to create an exciting unprecedented evening of fashion and shopping. On September 10, shoppers will be treated to in-store sales promotions, personal appearances from VOGUE Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and many fashion designers, including Tommy Hilfiger, Anna Sui and Vera Wang, live music performances, contests, makeovers and more. In cities worldwide, including Bejing, London, Milan, Madrid and New York City, stores will open their doors to promote and restore consumer confidence, and remain open until late. In New York City, for example, over 700 stores covering all five boroughs will offer shoppers the opportunity to shop until 11 p.m., on the eve of New York Fashion Week.

In addition to the shopping excursions, VOGUE designed a limited-edition T-shirt with the sales’ proceeds benefitting various charities. In NYC, donations will be made to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, in honor of those lives remembered, and in London, all of the proceeds from the commemorative T-shirts will go to Crisis, a charity for the homeless. If you aren’t able to attend Fashion’s Night Out, you can still purchase a T-shirt online. Designer Adam Lippes is offering the T-shirt available for purchase on his own site Adam.
