Sundance Channel Covers the Catwalk
Looking to get you fashion fix on? Want to learn more about a designer’s journey from the workroom to the showroom? Full Frontal Fashion, a fashion initiative with the Sundance Channel, is a new website that provides a sophisticated view inside the exciting world of fashion.
The style destination site offers their readers exclusive interviews with contemporary designers, including CFDA Award Winners Anna Sui and Alexander Wang, video features from Fashion Week, daily commentaries from fashion columnists, documentaries and photography from acclaimed photographer Patrick McMullan, including those from Bryant Park during the upcoming New York Fashion Week.
“Sundance Channel is excited about reinvigorating a dynamic fashion brand. Our plan is to elevate the way in which fashion is reported and give our passionate audience a front row seat to all the drama that epitomizes contemporary fashion,” said the Sundance Channel EVP and GM Sarah Barnett.
To celebrate the start of a new fashion season, the website will host a week-long series, The Day Before, which will air on the Sundance Channel, starting on Wednesday, September 8th. The new series will chronicle the final hours prior to the runway shows, featuring the work by some of the world’s leading designers, including Proenza Schouler, Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier. The world premiere will showcase the 40th Anniversary celebration of French designer Sonia Rykiel.
Visit Full Frontal Fashion today and check your local listings for The Day Before at 10 p.m. on the Sundance Channel.
Confessions of a Shopaholic on DVD on June 23

Isla Fisher and Hugh Dancy in Confessions of a Shopaholic
If you are like myself, you have been anxiously waiting for the DVD release of the fashion adventures of Rebecca Bloomwood. Confessions of a Shopaholic comes to DVD on June 23, which is available on 2-Disc DVD or Blu-ray. The bonus features include bloopers and deleted scenes from the film. If you haven’t already seen the movie based on the novels by Sophie Kinsella, you will want to pick up this fun story of a young woman’s passion for shopping, and her path of finding love and success. We all lived vicariously through Bloomwood, portrayed by Isla Fisher, on her shopping sprees and the euphoria of her precious finds. Now you can study each fashionable ensemble and emulate her style to dress like Rebecca Bloomwood on your budget. While most us are looking for ways to save money, we need a feel good movie too. Reward yourself for your diligent scrimping with a romantic comedy made for today’s fashionistas!
Dress Like Rebecca Bloomwood
Last weekend, I was entertained by the Confessions of a Shopaholic and the quirkiness of Rebecca Bloomwood. I highly recommend the film to anyone who loves fashion and shopping, or just wants to see a fun novel come to life on the big screen. If you have already seen the movie, you probably noticed the awesome array of outfits that fab Costume Designer Patricia Field created for our favorite shopping addict. Field, who has worked for the Sex and the City series and the Sex and the City Movie, created ensembles of trendy labels and vintage pieces in bold colors for Bloomwood’s eclectic wardrobe.

Isla Fisher as Rebecca Bloomwood
Fabsugar shows how to re-create one of my favorite looks, which shows a more casual side to the lovable Becky Bloomwood. You can copy her style with a buffalo plaid dress, at an affordable price at Forever 21. The fun side to the outfit are the accessories, such as the popular wide cinched belt. I found a similar belt on sale at Bluefly.com. You can finish the look with tall flat boots, or for a sexier look, wear the dress with thigh-high socks, like a pair from American Apparel. Be sure to check out the other haute looks that Rebecca Bloomwood wears for your own inspiration!
