Summer Style: Dressing for a Wedding

David's Bridal

Summer is finally here and that means that wedding season is in high swing! I have a couple of wedding invites coming my way for this summer, and I will need to be savvy with my wedding guest attire. I want to find a dress that I can wear multiple times and style it with my favorite accessories, such as bold jewelry pieces.

Luckily, David’s Bridal has beautiful dresses to help solve the dilemma of what to wear to a summer wedding, and is at just the right price point for my wallet. If you are attending a formal wedding event, you will love the ease and beauty of the long, cascading dresses. For a classic look, a strapless chiffon design will allow for an appropriate amount of skin to show off a glowing tan while you sip on a chilled glass of wine.  I would choose one statement accessory, such as a pair of chandelier earrings in turquoise tones to highlight the dress’s neckline and your décolletage.

My other favorite style is a short dress that is versatile enough to wear to a daytime wedding, bridal shower, or an engagement party. A knee length is elegant and charming, and a ruched waist creates a perfect silhouette. By adding simple accruements, like a charm necklace, I like that the look works for casual events as well, such as a rooftop party or a brunch.

Whether the dress of your choice is a floral shift or a solid charmeuse gown style, it should be comfortable to wear for several hours. Considering that some reception venues will be air conditioned, it is best to bring a beautiful wrap in a simple hue to accompany your ensemble. Then it’s time to toast the happy couple and celebrate their new life together!
