Fashionistas everywhere will shout out with sheer joy at this latest fashion collaboration. H&M announced that the next designer to create a ultra-fab collection is the amazing Matthew Williamson. The British designer has had much success with his previous runway shows at Fashion Week in New York, and I loved his latest show by far. Still, his lovely creations have been out of my budget by just a few hundred bucks! Until now. I am excited that I will have a chance to own a dress from Williamson’s creativity.

Williamson said that it was an incredible opportunity to work with H&M for his capsule collection. Seeing their success with past collaborations with high-end designers such as Comme des Garcons, added to his excitement that his designs will be more accessible and enjoyed by more people. The designer will also lead the campaign, which will be photographed in Mexico, for his womenswear and menswear collections. 

The Matthew Williamson Spring 09 collection for H&M will include pieces such as dresses, tops, and jumpsuits. Williamson was inspired by a peacock motif and developed an eclectic palette of blues, chartreuse and emerald. The collection is expected to debut at selected H&M stores on April 23.
